We're looking for a skilled Site Engineer to plan, install, and commission passive networking infrastructure across client sites in Delhi NCR.
Site Engineer – Passive Networking
Hands-on Site Engineer responsible for the end-to-end deployment of structured cabling, fibre optic, and passive network infrastructure at client premises. You will work closely with our project delivery and networking teams to ensure quality, timely, and standards-compliant installations.
Key Responsibilities
Structured Cabling
Design and install CAT6/CAT6A structured cabling systems in compliance with TIA/EIA standards.
Fibre Optic Works
Lay, splice, and terminate single-mode and multimode fibre optic cables for backbone and inter-floor connectivity.
Rack & Patch Panel Setup
Install and dress racks, patch panels, cable management, and labelling per project documentation.
Testing & Certification
Conduct cable testing using Fluke DSX / Versiv testers and generate certification reports.
CCTV & Security Cabling
Run cabling for IP cameras, access control, and surveillance systems as part of integrated site rollouts.
Site Surveys
Perform pre-project site surveys, prepare cable schedules, and coordinate with client facility teams.
Quality Compliance
Ensure all work adheres to brand standards, safety norms, and project BOQ.
Commissioning & Handover
Assist in system commissioning, snagging, and client handover documentation.
Required Skills
- 2–4 years of experience in passive networking / structured cabling installations.
- Hands-on expertise with CAT6, CAT6A, fibre optic cabling, and related hardware.
- Ability to read and interpret network floor plans, cable schedules, and drawings.
- Experience using cable testers (Fluke or equivalent) and generating test reports.
- Knowledge of TIA-568, IS 11153, and relevant cabling standards.
- Physical fitness and willingness to work on-site including in confined spaces and at heights.
- Good communication in Hindi; working English is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, or IT.
- BICSI INST1 or equivalent cabling certification.
- Experience with CCTV / IP surveillance cabling.
